DeFi - Decentralized Finance

DeFi - Decentralized Finance
DeFi, or "Decentralized Finance", is a set of financial platforms and applications that use blockchain technology to provide financial services without the need for traditional intermediaries such as banks and financial institutions. This allows people to have more autonomy and control over their finances, as well as access to new types of investments and opportunities.

One of the main features of DeFi is decentralization, i.e. the lack of centralized intermediaries that control access to financial services. Instead, transactions are recorded and validated by the blockchain network, ensuring data security and transparency.

DeFi includes a variety of platforms and applications, such as:
  • Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs): These platforms allow people to buy and sell cryptocurrencies without the need for a centralized exchange.
  • Decentralized lending and financing (DLOs): These apps allow people to lend and borrow using cryptocurrencies as collateral, without the need for a bank or financial institution.
  • Stablecoins: these cryptocurrencies have their value linked to a fiduciary currency, such as the dollar, guaranteeing the stability of the value.
